Motivation
continues: Most breeds have a FAULT list and many of these
errors/faults are unnecessary to list if the
breed standard otherwise is
well described.
Ragdoll breeders and exhibitors
would therefore like to delete the current FAULT list to the general RAG-standard
as it appears today.

Motivation
continues: Several of
the points under the current FAULT list regarding coat colour and pattern are
not desirable,
but we do not regard them
directly as errors.
We wish that Ragdolls that have
these faults described in the FAULT list for coat colour and pattern to be
exhibited,
but they should be excluded
from nomination to Best in show panel.
Our proposal is that such cats with
the above mentioned faults, cannot achieve a score higher than 95 points and
the title of IC / IP

Motivation
to C above; The mitted
variant 04 has become a very popular variant of the breed and colour errors
with
streams / runners on the back of the front legs have unfortunately
become a problem.
We would therefore like to bring in
a new text to emphasise that this is not desirable.
NRR Proposal 2 – RAGDOLL – Introducing EMS code 06 for the Ragdoll bicolour,
describing distribution of coat colour
Bicolour RAG 06
Coat colour/ Fellfarb/ Couleur de la fourrure |
|
Points: - ears, mask and tail – to be well defined.
Mask must have an inverted “V”, as symmetric as possible, starting in the
forehead area, within the outer edge of the eyes. Body colour is to be a shade lighter than the points: with
or without white spots on the back. Belly white and without
spots. Preference
is given to white legs. |

Bicolour
RAG 06
Motivation:
The bicolor
RAG is according to the EMS system today considered to be a 03 variety. Several
breeds in the EMS system have 03 varieties.
We want a
new code in the EMS that shows the Bicolour RAG, and we want to give this new
code the number 06.
In the FIFe
general part of the standards the following is described for the 03 variety:
"At
least half must be colored, but not more than ¾, the rest is white. A white
blaze on the face is desirable.
White on
the back is desirable. No single white hairs in the solid colored parts. There
must be white on the legs, on the chest, face and stomach."
Our description of the RAG bicolor variety defines clearly how the RAG
bicolor should look, and there are in many details large deviations from
the general
bicolor 03 description. Based on the
clearly defined deviations to the general description of the 03 varieties we
want to change the EMS
code of
bicolor Ragdolls from RAG 03 to RAG 06.
Apart from the description of the
distribution of coat colour, the rest of the 03 standard is adopted.
